A festival where everything plays

The creation of a live outdoor classical music event is faced in all its forms: from the creation of the stage machine, to the lighting of the performers, to the preparation of the artists who will give life to the performances. In the premises and above all in the splendid garden of Villa Pennisi are held the lessons of architecture, self-construction, acoustics, digital fabrication and courses of high musical improvement. Together, teachers and students tackle all aspects related to the solution of critical issues in their respective fields: planning, construction, design, lighting, musical acoustics, breathing and relaxation techniques, musical and artistic preparation. Musicians and architects, acoustic engineers and lighting designers work together to build the final event, overcoming the traditional teacher / learner barrier, sharing the whole creative path, from the preparation during the lessons to the concerts of the Festival. A training that does not end with the achievement of a certificate of participation and attendance but that questions the results achieved with the realization of the object of study. Francesco Pennisi (1934-2000) composer, writer, painter and founder of Nuova Consonanza, was born in Acireale and lived and grew up in the Villa that now houses us. Inspired by his work and his creative spirit, Villa Pennisi in Musica has increased year by year the number of events and the presence of international importance, enriching the artistic and cultural offer of Acireale.
