This clever glue fills every pore and dries to the exact consistency of the wood for optimum resonance. The layers are then formed in a high temperature mold with a hydraulic press to produce perfect drum shells. Superior shell technology Maple has long been a drum shell wood favorite of both drum makers and musicians. Its enhanced low end and smooth mids and highs help it play well suitable for any musical style. For this reason, maple is often used in high-end kits and is used by some highly respected players. Pearl 6-ply series Decade shells are constructed of ultra-thin plies of maple with hand-treated bearing edges to ensure the same performance and tonality as these high-end kits. Each section of the tarp is transversely laminated and features the following features Pearl Superior shell technology, which results in a thin shell that reacts quickly to running and offers the most advanced air chamber.
